Take a look at this flyer. Cute, isn’t it?
Now, it’d be even lovelier if they put it on at half-term or during the holidays. Running from 9 to 14 Jan, there are two shows on Monday to Friday at 11am and 2pm. Except there’s one small problem. All the children are at school. School only finishes at 3.30pm. Oops, did the organisers forget?
When I was a mother of one, I used to take my son to the theatre a lot. Unicorn, Barbican and Little Angel Puppet theatres were favourites. You can’t beat live storytelling.
So I thought, when I saw The Chronicles of Bitter and Twisted, ‘great, right on my doorstep. No excuse not to go’.
It’s an upside down story of the Ugly Duckling. Anarchic, I like that. The story of a baby swan who grows up into a duck. There will be puppets and comedy, perfect for the kids.
Last day of the show is on Saturday, with two shows at 1pm and 3pm. Both which we can’t make. SHAME.
