Autumn Coats We Can All Have

After I last blogged about my Autumn coat and other coveted coats, I realised that it was really a wish list. I need to come back to planet Earth. My freelance salary isn’t going to get me very far. Money is limited and I have to watch how I spend it. So here I go, on the hunt for great looking coats at accessible prices.

At Cos, a curved shoulder coat is going for €175. The bracelet sleeves are lovely and the cocoa colour makes a nice change from the normal black.

Over at Topshop, two coats caught my eye. A navy wool car coat and a drop arm boyfriend coat. Check out the enormous pockets on the latter!

Then there’s the ever reliable Uniqlo. A +J wool military coat. Slightly pricey, but I’d say it’s worth it if you’re looking for something smart.

My Autumn 2011 Coat

Come on, autumn! I’m ready for you.

I cannot wait to take my new coat out for a spin around the neighbourhood. It’s from young designer Eudon Choi’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, called the Linda Jacket.

You can only buy Eudon’s clothes from a few shops: Bengt, Black White Denim, Hervia Bazaar, Indigofera and Young British Designers. Go have a look!

Even though I already have THE ONE, I can’t help browsing. So many delicious coats for the impending cold.

From Hussein Chalayan, an over-sized wool blend coat.

One for when I’m in the countryside, Barbour’s Liddesdale Down jacket.

Finally, one from Urban Outfitters. Particularly love the drop shoulder on this one.

A very important factor when I buy a coat is large pockets. I mean very very big ones. Much easier to store the childrens’ toy cars, half-eaten biscuits and pencils. Just how important pockets are in general? I will leave that for another post.
