Got My Eye On: Simon Lekias

Every Saturday I’m going to do a visual post. No particular reason why. Just because I fancy it.

This one’s by an Australian fashion photographer, Simon Lekias.

Got My Eye On: Emma Hartvig

I thought I’d use a photograph instead of words for today’s post. Sometimes my brain prefers going into visual mode.

So here’s a photo that best expresses the Saturday morning feeling I have, taken by London-based photographer Emma Hartvig.

And together with this tune and a cup of hot coffee, it’s a blissful morning.

Full Of Grace

Hands up anyone who doesn’t love the talented, beautiful and down-to-earth American Vogue creative director Grace Coddington.

How exciting that the photographer Willie Christie – her ex-husband – exhibited his fashion photographs of a young Grace shot in the 70s at the Century Club in London. Yes, I’ve written that in past tense, ‘exhibited’. The exhibition was on through September – what a shame I missed it! The photographs are absolutely gorgeous.

“I was seriously thinking of getting rid of them; they were taking up too much space,” Christie says. “I’d never thought that I would need them for anything, or whether anybody would ever be interested.”

Doesn’t she look like a filmstar from the 40s?
