I woke up today to the news that Steve Jobs has died. Like a lot of people all over the world, I thought he’s far too young to die.
His Stanford address has been uploaded many times over since the news broke. There is a lot to learn from what he said.
He was born out of wedlock, given up for adoption and dropped out of college. It does make one think, one should never be complacent.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.
